WHO I CAN HELP

Are you finding life difficult right now? Do you feel depressed, anxious, or unable to cope? Have you experienced trauma, bereavement, a relationship or work crisis that feels overwhelming? Are phobias, limiting beliefs, intrusive thoughts, or emotional pain holding you back? Would you like to feel more confident and better equipped to deal with life?

If any of the following resonate, a tailored, individual therapy programme can help you rebuild your life, face your fears, and develop a more positive and resilient mindset.

You may be:

  • Struggling with anxiety that leaves you procrastinating or unable to move forward — no matter how hard you try

  • Living with self-doubt and constantly second-guessing yourself

  • Battling an inner critic that tells you you’re not good enough

  • Experiencing chronic stress and overwhelm, whether at work or at home

  • Finding low self-esteem and confidence make it difficult to trust your decisions or express your needs

  • Carrying old wounds from painful family dynamics or childhood experiences

  • Feeling low, stuck, or worried you may be depressed

  • Recovering from addiction or burnout and unsure how to take the next step

  • Healing after a major life transition or the loss of a loved one

HI I'M MARY

Mary.jpeg

… a therapist with over 25 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors. I believe that therapy should be as individual as you are, tailored to your circumstances, and grounded in a safe, supportive and compassionate space. There are many types of therapy and many therapists to choose from, but the most important step is finding someone — and a therapeutic approach — that truly works for you. Whether you’re struggling with low confidence, feeling stuck in old patterns, or finding it hard to cope with life’s pressures, therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and begin to understand what’s happening beneath the surface. My own journey — through a traumatic childhood, unhealthy relationships, and family addiction — has shaped my understanding of how complex life can be. These experiences allow me to work with genuine empathy, authenticity, and compassion. I remain deeply committed to ongoing personal and professional development, continually learning in ways that enrich both my life and my work. I have over 25 years’ experience specialising in trauma and early childhood experiences within Health and Social Care. I have supported children, young people, and adults through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including providing compassionate guidance to families during end-of-life care.

My lived experience, combined with my professional training, allows me to offer therapy that is both deeply empathic and firmly grounded.

My own healing journey brought me into this work, and it fuels my passion for helping others find clarity, compassion, and confidence within themselves.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

My aim is to guide you toward confidence, calm, and a more balanced life — one where you feel connected to yourself and the people you love.

Complimentary Consultation

Your first step is a free 20-minute consultation call. We’ll get to know each other, explore what support you’re seeking, and decide together whether we’re a good fit. There’s no pressure to commit during the call.

Working Together

If you choose to move forward, I typically recommend a programme of 6 to 12 sessions. During this time, we’ll look at where you are now, what’s holding you back, and which therapeutic approaches will best support meaningful change.

“My work goes beyond traditional talking therapies. We engage with your nervous system where many challenges are held, to support deeper healing”

Working together, we’ll gently explore what’s been holding you back — where your pain or trauma began, how it shows up in your life today, and how you can begin to move beyond it.

I’m based between Bournemouth and the outskirts of the New Forest, offering face-to-face, online, and walk-and-talk sessions.

WHAT MY CLIENT'S SAY

“I have been seeing Mary for the past year to support me with old traumas that resurfaced during the menopause. I’ve had various therapy in the past, but my sessions with Mary have been the most productive. She is caring, professional, and offers real tools I can use on difficult days. The space always feels safe, and she is attentive to my emotional needs. I’ve  have made amazing progress moving through my healing with Mary and would highly recommend her to anyone needing to talk.”
